NYC is Nice!

Wow that was Nice! Got to fly upper class on the way out which was very Nice. On the way back karma struck as we had “that” not very Nice person who puts their seat back the moment they get in it, we had one baby to the right of us, one baby and one child behind us (who was banging in the seats so hard it made the entire row shake), no chance to see a window and we were by the toilets which wasn’t so Nice.

Three days wasn’t enough… First day was the normal sights (Liberty, Ellis, Empire State, Ground Zero) second and third days where much more Nice as we spent our time in Central Park and 5th Av. Some thoughts…

Food - Very Nice (Found the only Italian in Manhatten that doesn’t serve Pizza?)!
Americanism - Not as much as I’d expected.
Cars - I understand why everyone needs an SUV now (the roads aren’t Nice).
Size - Everything is big!

Don’t know what else to say so I’ll let the photos do the talking (781 photos in total… You’ve got the short 34 photo guide) instead of me which is Nice.

Guess where I’m off tomorrow for a week… Nice!

NEW YORK BABY!

Off to NYC for a long weekend at the end of August. Can’t wait! Am going to be a complete tourist and hopefully see more of NYC through my camera than through my own eyes. Have to visit the Apple Store, Times Square, 5th Av, but need to plan everything as I’ve only for three days to see the capital!

Its going to be tricky…

edit: Since when has New York been the capital… Now I feel like Miss Carolina.

14 + 10 + 10 + 13 = Tired.

If there are any mistakes in this post I really am sorry, but I am a tired man. In the past month I’ve done this, and this, and this anddd this. Don’t worry, it wasn’t a marathon (not that stupid yet), just a 10k for Help a London Child round Hyde Park. 53:40. A whole minute better than my previous record… woo (in case you can’t tell, I’m being sarcastic).

Plus those numbers in the title are the hours I’ve worked so far this week.

The Art of Pfaffing*

Pfaff: Verb.

1. to waste time doing nothing.
2. to waste time doing stupid things
3. to delay, dilly-dally, especially before leaving the house to be on time somewhere.
4. writing on your website when you’ve an exam that you haven’t properly revised for.

“I love to pfaff.”
“I didn’t do anything on Sunday; I just pfaffed around the house.”
“Stop pfaffing around and come to bed my love.”
“See I told you you’d fail. If only you hadn’t pfaffed so much.”

*eep… its pfaff… not faff. Apparently.

I am so sore…

Played in a six-a-side tournament yesterday at Nottingham Uni and I forgot to warm down… I was just so tired after running for so much and so hard… Shoulders, lower back and legs. I knew something was wrong when I got cramp three hours after the last game.

Still, was fun though. Great lads, great atmosphere, scored a few, missed a few (which I will curse myself for) and a night out in Nottingham. Which was, well… disappointing. Probably wouldn’t repeat in a hurry.
