Eep.

Eep - No posts in a long time. I figured out why I’m not as creative as I used to be though. Work. Work takes up a lot of my time. Even most of GoogleTalk chats are with a work colleague. So when can my mind wonder? It’s all part of my post-24 depression theory. I should write a paper on it or something. A recognised disease :)

Eep - Been nominated for an Employee of the Year award for YSL Beauté. I thought I might be in with a chance until my more talented colleague got that email as well! Maybe next year ;)

Eep - Forgot to cook myself dinner. Mum would kill me if she knew… (HI MUM! :D)

Eep - Handling difficult situations and negotiating training. Was useless at negotiating as it transpired the scenario was which holiday could we agree on. I’ve been on holiday (i.e. out of the country) for 5 days in the past 6 years. Double eep.

Eep - Rain water coming through the window frame. Again. Please can we have good weather till its fixed by the rental company!

Eep - Exams to be pro-geek start first of May and I’m only halfway through the material.

Clowns will eat me.

Yes its 1:34 a.m. and yes I should be in bed. But I’m not tired so I thought I’d write some drivel… Yey!

Went to the ‘ding (Reading) to meet up with friends from Uni. If you’re reading this then you may very well *be* one of those friends. Hello! If you’re not one of those friends then… erm… Hi! ‘Twas very good to surprise the girls just so they know they do still matter to us (except Adam who gets marked as Spam), but its interesting to see how much we haven’t changed since we last saw each other (Graduation - 18th Dec ‘03).

Everybody is still the same! Yes people have got new and exciting events occuring in their life, but nobody has actually changed! Morals, values, opinions, observations, mannerisms, jokes, etc. are pretty much the same. That doesn’t mean it was boring and still “same old, same old” but a chance to reflect… [edit: go ahead; cringe now! :(]

I am wittering on so I shall just be on my way to the land of nod.

Have you ever craved for a:

  • Giant Jammy Dodger?
  • Giant Mars Bar?
  • Giant Rolo?
  • Giant Jaffa Cake?

Look here :yummy: Not sure about a Burberry Curly Wurly. Is there nothing safe from the Chav?

You’re better off by bike.

I don’t often get political, but I can’t help but put this in writing.

I pay £97/month to travel by tube. Zones 1-3. It’s not great travel, but it’ll do. I’m used to the packed trains and the occasional delay for £3/day. I was talking to a friend and she mentioned why I didn’t cycle to work and I actually contemplated it for a second. London traffic is bad even at the best of times and I’d much rather be stuffed in a tube than have to breath in carbon monoxide.

All in all, this doesn’t bother me much.

What does bother me is Ken spending money on TV adverts for us to cycle in London. I’d save money and get regular exercise, but it’s not practical! You’re better off by bike? Yes, and so are you Ken. Or is it a coincidence that I’ve just received my London Local Election polling card?

NNNNnnnnngggghhhhhh!!!!!

I’d code my own site but:

  1. I wouldn’t be able to make it as good as this.
  2. It’d be rubbish
  3. It’d never get finished.
  4. I don’t wanna.

I can implement some cool things - like this…

…but the can I get the close and expand buttons to be in the right place with the right shape? No :(
